Achy, stiff or inflamed joints?  Try moving more throughout the day.

The new office animal is typically stuck in one of two positions all day, sitting or standing.  Unfortunately for our joints, this means little to no movement.  A lack of movement leads to less synovial fluid and “drier” joints.  This is where the aches and pains come in.

Think about it this way.  You move at the gym, about 1 hour a day, and you move when you walk places, or sit down and get up, BUT you don’t move for the other 22 hours of the day.  This is KILLING US.  Especially when you consider the fact that you move at a high intensity for that 1 hour / day.

Try this.  First thing everyday, carve out 20 minutes to just move every join in your body.  Our friend Ryan DeBell over at The Movement Fix has a great daily routine, found HERE.

Next, take 5 minutes to work on the resting squat hold.  This is basic function and should be easy… BUT IT’S NOT!  Watch the video for some tips.
