I’ve Tried It All

My personal fitness journey has been long and winding. I have tried many fun fitness activities over the years (after I finally got the motivation to get off the couch and cigarettes!): tennis, distance running, boxing, spinning, bootcamp, powerlifting and every Les Mills
class there ever was.

I haven’t loved anything as much as I love CrossFit, though.

It is equal parts frustrating and humbling, as it is empowering and amazing! My plan is to keep doing CrossFit until I’m 80, because I want to be that old lady who still CrossFits; and, ahem, because there’s always something to work on.

Weightlifting Thursday: Gear

“Ideally, with this equipment we are using it once we get close to a competition or scheduled max out in order for us to get used to that gear and what it does to our body. We are trying to peak at the right time with our strength and have all aspects dialed in. ” -Coach Mike

I like to play— I could play almost any competitive group activity for hours. I think that’s one of the reasons I have enjoyed CrossFit so much.
